Terms and conditions

This website is operated under the Roast & Roses name. Before launch, these terms must show the legal name of the trader, postal address and the contact details required for a UK distance sale. Customer support is currently handled at [email protected].

Products and product information

We sell printed greeting cards. A standard greeting card is A5. Some products have an A6 option; the available options are shown on that product page. An envelope is included where the product page says it is included. Envelope colour is subject to available stock and is not a separate customer choice.

Artwork, wording, size options, price and availability are shown on the product page. A colour can look different on different screens. If a product is unavailable, we may remove it from sale or contact you about an order already placed.

Optional inside-card messages

Where offered, an inside-card message is optional. The form currently accepts up to 280 characters, 12 lines and a longest word of 48 characters. The preview and form are the best guide to the printable area. Check the message, spelling and recipient details before placing the order. We may need to contact you if a message cannot be printed within the available area or would breach the law or another person’s rights.

Orders and payment

The product page and basket show the card price and active promotion. Delivery options and prices are calculated from the order and delivery address and shown before payment. We will send an order acknowledgement to the email address provided and will tell you if an order cannot be accepted.

Payment is handled by the provider shown at checkout. We do not store full payment-card numbers in Magento. An order may be held if payment is not authorised, an item is unavailable or fraud is reasonably suspected. Refunds follow the payment provider’s process and your legal rights.

Any 4 cards for £12

The offer applies only to cards marked as eligible in the shop. A complete group of four eligible cards is priced at £12. The saving is applied automatically in the basket; incomplete groups and non-eligible cards remain at their shown prices. The active offer, eligible products and group price are controlled by the shop’s promotion configuration and may change for future orders.

Delivery

Royal Mail is our only customer-facing carrier. We currently accept delivery addresses in Great Britain, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. The service, price and any tracking information available for an order are shown in the basket or checkout.

Orders placed before the daily 14:00 cut-off on a working day are usually posted that day. Later orders, weekends and bank holidays go with the next working day’s post. These are dispatch aims, not guaranteed arrival dates. Royal Mail delivery aims can vary by postcode and service, including for the Highlands, islands and Northern Ireland.

Returns, cancellation and faulty items

Nothing in these terms removes your statutory rights. For unused, non-personalised items, our voluntary returns window is 30 days from delivery. Email us before sending anything back so we can confirm the return address and instructions. Keep proof of postage.

For most online goods, consumer law gives a cancellation period. Personalised or custom-made goods can be an exception to change-of-mind cancellation where the law allows it. That exception does not remove rights where a card is faulty, damaged, not as described or not fit for its purpose. Contact us with a photo and order number; we will offer the remedy required by law for the circumstances.

You can use this wording to tell us you are cancelling where a cancellation right applies:

I/We hereby give notice that I/We cancel my/our contract for the sale of the following goods: [order details]. Ordered on/received on: [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].

The legal seller’s postal address must be added to this page before launch.

Intellectual property and customer content

The artwork, text, branding, layout and other material on this website belong to us or our licensors. You may use the site and buy products for personal, non-commercial use. Do not copy, resell or alter our artwork without permission. You remain responsible for any message, name or other information you provide for an order.

Website availability and liability

We aim to keep the shop accurate and available, but maintenance, provider outages and events outside our control can interrupt it. We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow us to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or your legal rights in relation to goods. This section must be checked for fairness before publication.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms for future orders. The version that applies to an order is the version available when the order is placed, subject to mandatory legal change. The legal seller must confirm the governing law and courts before launch. Any term that conflicts with a mandatory consumer right is read subject to that right.
